Head of the Charles Regatta

This weekend was the Head of the Charles Regatta, an annual rowing competition that draws crew teams from around the country (and, I think, around the world). It's hosted by Harvard and draws a big crowd every year. It couldn't have been a more perfect fall day--sunny and 70 degrees--so Jay and I headed over to sample some free goodies handed out by the exhibitors and to watch the teams.


Above are the Harvard and Cambridge boathouses, below is the Weeks Bridge where a lot of spectators gather to cheer on their schools.



The women's teams are especially fun to watch, they were really rowing their hearts out toward the finish. On top is the BU boathouse and on the bottom is the Harvard team.
